The Laid Back Rat


This is a video of Ratley Sadly, I lost him on August, 22nd 2008 after what appeared to be a neurological affliction set in. He came down ill on Wednesday, the 20th and we took him to our regular vet who specializes in small animal care and did everything possible that could be done, even making a repeat emergency visit once I saw that he was not making any improvements, we had blood tests run, fluids were given, his kidneys were tested, he was put in a nebulizer, his colon flushed, IV antibiotics administered, but nothing seemed to help him. We took him back home, spent the remaining last hours with him just making him as comfortable and as happy as possible, giving him all his favorite foods and toys and cradling him up until the end. We had and still have incredible love for him, and realize what a special little guy he was and he will forever be in our hearts. We really miss him.
